
Longines has given its Weems Second-Setting Watch a new brilliance by dressing it in pink gold. A tribute to the American captain Philip van Horn Weems, who invented a wristwatch that could complement the plane’s on-board chronometers with a mechanism for synchronising watches to the closest second by using a radio time signal without moving the hands.
